Covenant
to Law - 430 Years
Paul declares that the length of this period was 430 years.
Gal. 3:17 "And this I say, that the covenant, that
was confirmed before of God, the law, which was 430 years after, cannot disannul, that it
should make the promise of none effect."
Law to Division of Land -- 46 Years
Israel's forty years, or "day of temptation in the wilderness" [Deut.
8:2; Psa. 95:8-10; Heb. 3:8,9] was followed by six years of war in Canaan and the dividing
of the land among the tribes. One year, one month and five days elapsed from their going
out of Egypt to their leaving Sinai for Paran. [Num. 33:3; 10:11-13] It was then, from
Kadesh-barnea in the wilderness of Paran, that the spies were sent.
Caleb, when applying for his portion at the division of the
land said, "...these forty and five years, even since the Lord spake this
word...while Israel wandered in the wilderness; and now, lo I am this day four score and
five years old." [Josh. 14:7,10]
Period
of the Judges - 450 Years
Paul confirms the period of the Judges.
Acts 13:19 "He gave unto them Judges about [during]
the space of 450 years, until Samuel the Prophet. Afterward they desired a king, and God
gave unto them Saul."

Period of Desolation -- 70 Years
The period of the desolation of the land lasted 70 years and
was ended by the restoration of its people from Babylon in the first year of Cyrus, B.C.
536. [2 Chron. 36:20,23]
From the Desolation to A.D. 1 -- 536
Years
The period from the time of the restoration of the Jews from
Babylon, at the close of the 70 years desolation of their land in the first year of Cyrus,
down to the date known as A.D. 1 is not covered by Bible history. However, it is
established by secular history as a period of 536 years. Ptolemy, a learned
Greek-Egyptian, geometer and astronomer, has well established these figures in what is
known as Ptolemy's Canon.
From A.D. 1 to A.D. 1873 -- 1872 Years
From creation to A.D. 1 was a period of 4128 years.
From A.D. 1 to 1873 is 1872 years. Thus, the 6,000 years from creation ended in 1873
A.D.
4128 years + 1872 years =
6,000 years
The last 1,000 years of this 7,000 year period, which begins
in 1873 A.D., is designated the "Millennium" or period of Christ's 1,000 year
reign.
