There are marked and prominent outlines of correspondency between the
Jewish and Christian dispensations.
Many of these features of correspondency are parallel not only in character,
but also in their time of occurrence.
The dates of our Lord's 1st and 2nd
advents are confirmed by a study of the corresponding parallel Jewish and Christian ages. |
The head of the fleshly house was
Jacob. Through his twelve sons he founded the nation of Israel. The head of the spiritual
house is Jesus. Through his twelve apostles he founded spiritual Israel, the church.
Three scriptures refer to Israel's period of disfavor as a
"double" or repetition of their period of favor.

Jer. 16:18
"...first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin DOUBLE because they have
defiled my land..."
Zech. 9:12 "Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope:
even to day do I declare that I will render DOUBLE unto thee."
Isa. 40:2 "Speak ye
comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare [appointed time] is
accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD's hand
DOUBLE for all her sins." |
1813 B.C. Gen. 49 -- When Jacob died, God's favor
extended to his twelve sons and their progeny.
1845 YEARS LATER
33 A.D. Matt. 23:38 -- "Behold, your house is left
unto you desolate." When Jesus cast off the nation of Israel and the period of God's
1845 years of disfavor began.

A.D. - 1874 A.D.
29 A.D. Jesus came as the Bridegroom [Jn. 3:29]
and Reaper [Jn. 4:35,38] to natural Israel and was baptized by John the Baptist.
He was anointed by the Holy Spirit and began his work of reaping the Jewish Harvest.
1845 YEARS LATER
1874 A.D. Jesus returned as Bridegroom [Matt.
25:1-13] and Reaper [Rev. 14:14,15] to spiritual Israel. Harvest of spiritual
Israel began. The sickle of truth does the separating work.

A.D. - 1878 A.D.
33 A.D. Jesus presented himself as King [Matt.
21:4,9] to natural Israel. Jesus rode on the ass into Jerusalem, cleansed the
literal temple of its money-changers, and wept over the nation. Except for a remnant, the
nominal natural house of Israel stumbled over its Messiah and was cast off from God's
favor.
1845 YEARS LATER
1878 A.D. Jesus presented himself as King [Rev.
17:14] to spiritual Israel. The spiritual temple was cleansed. Except for a
remnant, the lukewarm nominal spiritual church stumbled over their returned Christ and was
cast off from favor. [Rev. 3:16]
Isa. 8:14 "He shall be for a stone of stumbling
and for a rock of offence to both the [nominal] houses of Israel."

A.D. - 1914 A.D.
70 A.D. Jewish political government ended with
destruction of Jerusalem and Temple by Titus.
1845 YEARS LATER
1914 A.D. End of Gentile Times. World
War I began the eviction process of Gentile rulers. The Divine Right of Kings ended.
